🌟 Winter Metro EOI's 🌟

With the Summer Metro Finals just around the corner and the Summer Season wrapping up at the end of March, it's time to start getting organised for the upcoming 2025 WPNSW Winter Metro Season.

WPNSW Winter Metro 2025 Season Starts on Sunday 25th May 2025 - End August 2025 (with a break over the June/July School Holidays), 9-10 week competition.

If you or your child/ren are interested in playing Winter Metro, EOI Registrations are open NOW. Please click on this link to register under the CORRECT AGE GROUP SNB Breakers Winter Metro 2025.

This EOI will help determine the level of interest and participation, which will then inform decisions regarding the number of teams, coaches, and other logistical details. 

SNB Breakers will be entering the following teams into the WPNSW Winter Metro Competition:

- U14’s – Born 2013 & 2012

- U16’s – Born 2011 & 2010

- U18’s – Born 2009 & 2008

- Women's Opens

- Men's Opens

 Junior Grades (M/W14, M/W16, M/W18) 

Commence: Sunday, 25th May – End August 2025.  

Exception Dates:  

• Sunday, 8th June (June Long Weekend) 

• Sunday 6th July, 13th July, 20th July  (NSW School Holidays)

 Men's Opens

Commence: Tuesday, 20th May – End August 2025.  

Exception Dates:  

• Tuesday 1st July, 8th July, 15th July & 22nd July (NSW School Holidays)

 Women's Opens

Commence: Wednesday, 21st May – End August 2025.  

Exception Dates:  

• Wednesday 2nd July, 9th July, 16th July & 23rd July (NSW School Holidays)

* Please register your EOI "Expression of Interest" by FRIDAY 9TH MAY 2025 5pm.

Once the Expression of Interest (EOI) period has closed, the SNB Women's and Men's Directors will be in touch to provide updates on trials that will be held in May, the formation of teams and coaches. Please stay tuned for further communication from them.

Please understand that this Expression of Interest (EOI) does NOT guarantee you a place on a team. This process is solely to calculate numbers and gauge interest so we are able to determine how many teams we are entering.

There is NO cost for EOI and you do not need to log in with your username or password, scroll down and complete the "Basic Details" using the Player Name, NOT the Parent Name.

Winter Metro fees will be confirmed prior to the start of the competition and are dependent on WPNSW Fees structure. SNB will invoice all players, ALL Fees must be paid prior to the competition starting or you will NOT be allowed to play.

A Few Things to Remember When Visiting PLC

At SNB, we’re incredibly fortunate to have a strong relationship with PLC, allowing us to hire their pool for training sessions and games and to host our fundraising BBQs and food stalls. To maintain this partnership, it’s vital that we respect their property and follow their rules.

🔹 Important Reminder for Managers 🔹

If your team is scheduled for the first game at PLC, you are responsible for setting up before play begins.

✅ Set-Up Responsibilities:

• The Lifeguards arrive approximately 15 minutes before the first game starts, so please ensure your team is aware that their dryland warm up will need to begin outside until Lifegaurds arrive.
• Square Payment System must be set up at the Front Door.
• Place the three A-frame signs with "Conditions of Entry" at:
  🔹 Front door
  🔹 Gate near the tennis courts
  🔹 Stairs from the car park

The A-frame signs are stored in the storage shed under the seating area at the table duty end of the pool.

Additionally, ALL teams must assign a "Pool Controller" who will monitor both the indoor and outdoor pool areas to ensure no one is in restricted zones.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping everything running smoothly!

Please take a moment to read through the following guidelines below and remind your children, family members and spectators of the importance of abiding by these rules to ensure we can continue enjoying the use of this facility.

Key Guidelines:

1. Stay Within the Aquatic Centre: Please remain within the confines of the aquatic centre. The broader school grounds, including the Tennis/Basketball Courts and Gymnasium are STIRCTLY OFF LIMITS!
2. Respect Property: Treat all equipment and property with care, damage could jeopardise our relationship with PLC.
3. Supervision: Ensure children are supervised at all times, both in and out of the pool.
4. Cleanliness: Leave the venue as you found it, dispose of rubbish in the bins provided and keep the area tidy.
5. Parking: Follow any parking restrictions or instructions provided by PLC.
6. Conduct: Be respectful of PLC staff and no loud or disruptive behavior.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us preserve this fantastic partnership with PLC. Together, we can ensure SNB continues to have access to such a wonderful facility for our Water Polo community.

We’ve been fortunate to host BBQs and food stalls at PLC during long game days. These events have been a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community while supporting our club.

Proceeds from these initiatives have gone towards much needed updates to club equipment, like new caps and balls, supporting our teams in tournaments and planning future SNB Club social events. With increasing pool hire fees and other rising costs, every bit of support helps us continue to provide the best possible experience for our players and their families.

Our next fundraising opportunity is on Sunday, 30th March, during the Summer Metro Grand Finals. The A teams heading to Nationals in Perth in April will be volunteering to run the stall, with proceeds going towards costs associated with the tournament. This is a great chance to support our teams as they prepare for Nationals! Stay tuned for more details on how you can contribute.

Lastly a Huge Thank You to all our members and their families for your incredible support, whether you’ve turned a sausage on the BBQ, worked or baked a sweet treat for the stall, or simply cheered us on. Your contributions have made a real difference!

🏆 NSW Junior State Water Polo Championships – December 2024 🏆

The NSW Junior State Water Polo Championships took place last December at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, providing the perfect stage for nine days of intense competition. SNB Breakers entered 14 teams in the tournament, with 8 teams bringing home medals, an incredible achievement!

We are incredibly proud of all our teams' outstanding efforts. Here are the teams that made it to the podium:

🥇 Women’s 12s – Gold Medal
A fantastic performance by our Women’s 12s team, securing the gold medal! Congratulations to Coach Rochelle and Manager Sam for their leadership.

🥈 Men’s 14A – Silver Medal
A strong showing from our Men’s 14A team, earning them the silver medal. Well done to Coach Jemma and Manager Rachel!

🥇 Men’s 14B – Gold Medal
A dominant display from our Men’s 14B team saw them claim the gold medal. Huge congratulations to Coach Ethan and Manager Adrian!

🥈 Men’s 16A – Silver Medal
A great effort from our Men’s 16A team, securing silver after a hard-fought tournament. Well done to Coach Harley and Manager Ivor!

🥈 Men’s 16B – Silver Medal
Another strong performance from our Men’s 16B team, earning them silver. Congratulations to Coach Mitch and Manager Deb!

🥇 Women’s 16A – Gold Medal
Our Women’s 16A team showed incredible determination and resilience, claiming the championship title. A well-deserved gold medal for the team, Coach Stefano, and Manager Cath!

🥈 Men’s 18 – Silver Medal
A stellar performance from our Men’s 18 team saw them clinch the silver medal. Huge thanks to Coach Shannon and Manager Stephen for their guidance throughout the season!

🥈 U22s – Silver Medal
A mixed team of SNB Breakers and Drummoyne players joined forces to claim silver in the U22s division. Well done to all involved!

As we celebrate these remarkable achievements, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our coaches, supporters, and the entire SNB Water Polo community. Your dedication and encouragement have been instrumental in our success.

🏆 A Fantastic 12 & Under Tournament! 🏆

The recent 12 & Under Tournament, hosted by UTS Balmain Water Polo Club at the iconic Dawn Fraser Baths, was a huge success! Over three action-packed days, 26 teams across four divisions showcased their talent.

A Huge Congratulations to our teams on their outstanding achievements:

🥇 Breakers SNB Boys (Apollo Division) – Gold Medal
🥈 Beach Babes (Sirens Division) – Silver Medal
🥇 Sea Shells (Pandora Division) – Gold Medal

A special shout-out to Mackenzie Semmens and Jay Wilkinson, who were awarded "Highest Goal Scorers" in their divisions, an incredible achievement!

We are so proud of all our teams who participated, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these rising stars! 

A special Thankyou to Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy and all the volunteers, referees, coaches, and teams who participated that made this event such a success.

Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYWPC) – April 2025

The AYWPC is making a spectacular return to Perth, Western Australia, in April 2025, bringing together 169 teams from across the country for an incredible two weeks of competition.

Tournament Schedule:
🔹 Week 1 | 14–18 April 2025 – 18&U and 14&U age groups
🔹 Week 2 | 20–24 April 2025 – 16&U and 12&U age groups

SNB will be proudly sending 8 Teams in the 12&U, 14&U, 16&U, and 18&U Gold divisions to compete at this prestigious event. More details regarding the tournament will be shared with these teams soon.

Northern Beaches Water Polo Academy - "The Water Polo School"  has been set up to manage, promote, encourage and develop Water Polo on the Northern Beaches and beyond, specialising in Grassroots programs.

NBWPA works in partnership with the Sydney Northern Beaches (SNB Breakers) Water Polo Club to assist with their Representative Pathway selections.

NBWPA offers:

• Flippaball for boys and girls 6 years to 10 years -  (Ages are grouped together)

• Junior Development Competitions and Programs 10 years to 12 years

• Junior Development Competitions and Programs 13's and above - on request (minimum numbers required)

• Northern Suburbs Schools Competition

  • Opens (Term 1 & Term 2) - Years 10, 11 & 12
